Philanthropy at Falfurrias
We believe in bringing energy and passion to our community, working with philanthropic organizations both in the Charlotte area and nationwide. To date, the Falfurrias Management Partners Foundation and the Falfurrias Partners have contributed or pledged $2.6 million to local philanthropic organizations and projects.
Volunteer day with Freedom Communities
Falfurrias spent a day giving back alongside Freedom Communities, a Charlotte-based nonprofit dedicated to advancing economic mobility for underserved communities across the region. The team rolled up their sleeves to refresh and upgrade the organization's landscaping — and walked away with a deeper understanding of the affordable housing challenges shaping our city's future.
Volunteer Event with Junior Achievement Finance Park
JA Finance Park immerses students in a real-world financial simulation, placing them in the driver's seat as decision makers. Each student receives a unique profile — job title, marital and family status, income, credit score, savings, and existing debt — and then navigates a series of park storefronts to research the real costs behind every major budget category.
Falfurrias volunteers walked alongside students through each phase, offering guidance and sharing honest personal experiences — the wins and the missteps — to help bring the material to life. The goal: equipping the next generation with the confidence and tools they need to make smarter financial decisions when it matters most.
Volunteer day for Classroom Central
This holiday season, the Falfurrias team came together for a packing party benefiting Classroom Central — working to ensure that every student has the school supplies they need to succeed, no matter their circumstances.
BizTown Volunteer Event with Junior Achievement
Falfurrias partnered with Junior Achievement to work with elementary school children as they ran a simulated community (operating banks, managing businesses, running City Hall, etc.). Falfurrias engaged with the students to guide them as they put their financial literacy and critical thinking skills to the test.
Participating in Habitat Charlotte build days
The firm actively participates in and supports philanthropic causes in the Charlotte community. Pictured here is the Falfurrias team working with the local Habitat for Humanity Charlotte Chapter building new homes in the community on April 8, 2022.
School Spirit Sweatshirt Donation at Devonshire Elementary
Falfurrias partnered with its portfolio company, FM Expressions, to produce and donate school spirit sweatshirts for all of the students at Devonshire Elementary School in Charlotte.
